U ponedjeljak, 9. 10. 2023. učenici Drame MYP programa prisustvovali su otvaranju 12. međunarodnog festivala BIT (Blind In Theatre) u kazalištu „Vidra“. Festival se već 12 godina održava u organizaciji Kazališta slijepih i slabovidnih osoba koji djeluju već 75 godina, što ih čini najstarijim takvim kazalištem u svijetu. Zajedno s glumcima i organizatorima iz Slovenije, Srbije, Rumunjske, SAD-a, UK-a na svečanosti otvorenja sudjelovali su predstavnici Vlade, ministarstava, Sabora i Grada te im poželjeli mnogo svjetlosti, radosti i nadahnuća. Nakon svečanog otvorenja uslijedila je predstava „Podmornica“ u izvedbi domaćina, Kazališta slijepih i slabovidnih osoba. Bila je to dirljiva, inspirativna predstava o sudbini starijih i osamljenih osoba.
On Monday, 9 October 2023, drama students of the IBMYP programme attended the opening of the 12th international festival BIT (Blind In Theatre) at the ‘Vidra’ theatre. For the past 12 years it has been organized by the Theatre of Blind and Visually Impaired. They were founded in 1948, which makes them the oldest theatre company of blind and visually impaired people in the world, and have been active ever since. Representatives from the government, Ministries and the City of Zagreb participated in the opening ceremony along with actors and organizers from Slovenia, Serbia, Romania, USA and UK. They all wished them a lot of ‘light, joy and inspiration for future endeavours’. The opening ceremony was followed by the play Podmornica (‘Submarine’) by the Theatre of Blind and Visually Impaired. It was a very emotional and moving play about daily life of elderly and lonely people.
