How to manage time effectively while studying?

Managing your time efficiently is crucial for remaining productive and relaxed while preparing for exams. I approach time management by employing the following methods: I begin with setting specific goals for a given day or week and dividing more extensive projects into smaller achievable objectives. This keeps me on track without giving me too much to process. To stay on track, I set a schedule that has specified time slots for studying, breaks, and other activities. Having set timetables keeps me well-organized with little tendency to procrastinate.

Prioritization is also key, deciding which tasks are urgent and which can be postponed. Moreover, I use planners, apps or something else to stay on top of deadlines and get an overview of completed and not completed tasks. Putting my phone away, putting it on “do not disturb”, and cleaning the space in which I am studying helps me concentrate during my study sessions. In addition to this, I tend to work by setting a specific amount of time for which I will study and which I will not. For example, the Pomodoro Technique involves working intensely for 25 minutes and then breaking for 5 minutes or similar time intervals. However, make sure to leave some time to address interruptions or delays that always occur and interrupt your study time.

When, for instance, during the week or month when there were a lot of tasks or deadlines assigned, I review how effective my time management and studying in general were during that period and consider potential improvements. Following such strategies, I see that my studies are well-balanced with other activities as well as time for rest. This helps me to feel inspired and guarantees constant forward movement towards my goals.
