Valentine’s Day, or St. Valentine’s Day, is happening this month! While it’s generally linked with romantic love, there’s no reason to feel excluded if you’re not in a relationship—love can come in many forms, including familial and platonic relationships.
In fact, Valentine’s Day originated in ancient Rome to celebrate the entrance of spring and entailed a lottery-style pairing of men and women. It wasn’t until the 14th century that the holiday took on a romantic theme. Over time, traditional Valentine’s Day presents included Cupid, the Roman god of love, as well as birds, as February marks the start of their mating season.

Groundhog Day: Another February Tradition
Aside from Valentine’s Day, Groundhog Day is coming up on February 2nd. This American tradition is based on the idea that if a groundhog sees its shadow, winter will last six more weeks; otherwise, spring will come early.
Overall, February is the perfect time to unwind with great movies. Whether you’re celebrating a holiday or just relaxing, make the most of your break and have an amazing time!
